Edible Garden Reds
We still have plenty of raspberries in our backyard. One of the great things about raspberries and kids is that it gets them to enjoy the “fruits” of the garden in a tangible and edible manner.
I took some photos at the Highland Park Farmer’s Market last Friday.

Talking about textures, I feel like touching these vegetables and eat them - especially the radishes!
Leora says
You should buy some umeboshi paste and make the pickled radishes - you will never want to stop eating them!

Hubs and I were just discussing what we wanted to do for dinner and up pops all the makings for a wonderful garden salad with a raspberry vinaigrette dressing!
Nice finds Leora!
Leora says
That does sound good.

Being a bit more south than us in NJ, The berries are still around while our tomatoes, etc are done bearing fruit. That raspberry looks luscious, the radishes with a bite, the tomatoes stunning. The term 'Garden State' is oh so appropriate!

I so love seeing fruit and vegies like this! I am not a foodie person, but I can be tempted by fresh foods! Looking good!

I too want.
All of it.
The products of Farmer's Market are looking both delicious and healthy.
Just this Week-end I discussed with my foster-niece, who is studying agriculture in England,
why we aren't able to establish a Farmer's Market in Norway.
I just have to keep pushing on, I guess.

Mmmmm. Many of my favourite foods are red and hey! I never though of it like that!

I'm liking your edibles. They do make pretty pictures. Radishes are my favorites, I eat them with a lot of salt. This year I only bought one bunch.

Radishes? For me a little in a salad goes a long way. haha

Raspberries in your back yard sound fantastic and to think they are ripening now. This must be your second harvest too!
Leora says
Yes, we get some in early July on the old stems. But I like the August to Sept. crop on the new canes better.

Oh they are pretty and healthy to eat. Happy Ruby Tuesday.

What great RT photos! I love all the textures, and the photo with the radishes really shows the roots and contrasts.
Great captures, one and all.
Leora says
I keep wanting to wash the radishes. Is there a "wash" brush in Photoshop? :-)
Marites says
Would love to have raspberries in our garden. It must be nice to have those. Good captures in the farmer's market.
my RT is up here.

Scrumptious looking reds, especially the rasberries. How I wish rasberries were so easily available here, instead of just in miniscule little boxes costing an arm and 2 legs at the super-expensive gourmet greengrocer's.

Such a healthy post and beautiful shots for the theme!
Happy RT!

"Radishes at the Highland Park Farmer Market" is my fav... I like the way the leaves are also included in the shot and the dirt spots make the color more vibrant!

It is nice that children learn that everything doesn't come in a package...
