Ruby Tuesday: English Daisy
I took many photos of flowers late last week (azaleas, magnolias, tulips, cherry blossoms), and only this one was close to a Ruby. It’s an English Daisy plant that I bought at a small florist in North Brunswick, New Jersey when my boys were having orthodontic visits.

Dear little English daisies are a favorite of mine. They always remind me of a dewy English garden near a water tap.
Leora says
This flower is so new to me! I suppose if it's English, it likes to be wet.

I'm good at Googling for info!
Robin from Israel says
What a pretty flower. The blossom looks more like a thistle, though the leaves of course don't.
Leora says
Yes, it does look like a thistle. I would never think that this would be a daisy.
Carletta says
HI Leora,
Your drenched little bloom is just lovely! Like Robin, the one that has fully bloomed does remind me of a thistle. :)
The color is gorgeous.
I saw your name in the links and realized I haven't been in a long while. Either you haven't been doing too many memes (seems that's all I do these days) or I've missed seeing your name.
Always a pleasant visit here.
Leora says
I was totally engrossed by work and Passover and work and ... I'll try to do a meme or two a week.
I love visiting your blog, too!

Beautiful flower.

Such beautiful daisies! Love how we have one perspective of one in bloom and the other two are still in the process of opening! Enchanting!

"one in bloom and the other two are still in the process of opening" - I didn't notice that until you said so. Good observation.

The look of a warm Spring is so evident here! A ruby daisy is not something I have seen, so here is to Spring and learning something something new!
As for our library, I can get onto the first floor of the classic building. The staff of the library are so nice and accommodating, that I ask and they fetch!
EG Wow says
They are such pretty flowers. Leora. I hope they do well in your garden.
